The nineteenth piece of the Album fur die Jugend, "Kleine Romanze" (A Little Romance) -- the opening number of Schumann's own "fur Erwachsenere" (for older children) half of the collection, marking a deliberate step up in maturity from Nos. 1-18.

This is a noticeably denser piece than anything earlier in this batch -- a good marker piece for "ready to move past the beginner tier."
